What's new except AOL support?
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Not too much. Mostly minor changes.

From MR:

iTunes 4.2 allows you to sign in and buy music from the iTunes Music Store using either your AOL or Apple Account, view the iTunes Music Store in a separate window, and includes a number of performance improvements.

Viewing the store in a separate window will be great. Been wanting that feature since it came out..

Does it import a library right now? (like, with your play counts?)

Why doesn't this update show up in the Software Update app? Do I have to update QT first or...?
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

I installed 4.2 - how do you get the Music Store in a separate window? It's probably obvious but I can't find any buttons or menu items.

Try double clicking it.

Double-clicking the Store does open it in a separate "iTunes" window. I thought they meant it would run in a browser window for the AOL users. Did double-clicking do anything before?

The only really noticeable difference is the integration of AOL authentication and the new feature of shopping the music store in its own window. I didn't understand the benefit of that until last night when I realized you can listen to your own music while the music store is displayed in its own window.

As for buying music outside the USA, I have no doubt it's being worked on. Let's hope the legal snags are solved soon.

As I recall, you could always play your own library while displaying the music store, you just couldn't view them at the same time, which could be a pain. Of course, as soon as you sampled a song in the music store it would supersede whatever was playing in your library.

The problem is that when you sample a song from the music store, your library selection reverts to the top song in your library, so you lose your place, which is a big pain. Was it always this way or did it change with 4.2?
