Why Apple DVD player is not installed with MACOS X 10.3 on my BW G3?

There is an altenative solution to view DVD films on my BW G3 400Mhz (with built-in ATI Rage 128 video card)?

I have a La Cie CD/DVD RW player.

It's not installed because you don't have a built-in DVD drive. Either extract it from the OS X install CD using Pacifist or use VideoLAN Client to play DVDs.
