Since Virtual PC is incompatible with a G5, I need to know of alternative program to use. This is becoming rather urgent as if I cannot get a Windows OS emulation app to work on the G5, then I fear we will have to purchase PCs instead of Macs at work.

Can anyone help?

Rumor has it that there will be a compatible version of VPC at MWSF in a few days.

If not, you could use Bochs, but it's slooowww.

Does anyone know if the new upcoming Virtual PC will improve performance on Powerbook G4's?

I got RealPC with windows 98, on a G4 running in classic and it runs pretty good, so I would think on a G5 it would be better.

I actually own RealPC (won it at the booth at MWSF in 1996), but I couldn't get it to install on the G5. It complained about requiring 8MB of RAM or some nonsense.

It's available with Office 2004 and in June/July alone.
