If you're happy with DW4 or use something else. Not only do they have a sinister 'call home' worm.... the program is buggy with Panther.

It worked for a few days (.it has a pretty interface and 'probably' some new features) but now it simply refuses to re-start.

...and once they have your $$, they don't need to reply for a request for help. I've tried their patch....dumping prefs. and rebooting - all to no avail.

I simply need something that works!? Arggg...

I don't think your problems are normal. Sure its slow but its also the best out there. Crappy tech support? Hardly.

Those cows won't know what hit 'em. They won't know what hit them even after it hits them, because they're cows.

Go look at the windows version. Then you'll see how craptacular the mac port is.

Tuckas: If I don't get a reply to an email for support in 48hrs - is it then reasonable to complain about tech support?! ..just maybe?

...and I really don't care what the people who pray to Redmond have to do. I have Mac's all the way back to the first Classic - which I still have. I have never even sat at a Windoz machine except in a I-Cafe overseas.

I was fully functional in DW4 and now stuck at Zero in MX. Whether it's Panther or DW - it's a problem unsolved.

Careful - MX 2004. I've found MX to be quite a useful app. But you're definitely right about MX 2004.

And I know this doesn't exactly describe your problem, but does this fix help?

...turns out - I had two DW MX's on my HD?! I was in the process of doing an 'uninstall' (but the DW disk does not offer that options - Schmucks!) so doing a "Macromedia" search showed I had another app aboard. The icon in the dock musta been the funky one.

I ran that patch for the hell of it, even tho' my copy of DW was dated later, and my OS is also past that issue date...

Anyway...Thanks y'all. I don't usually bitch because we Mac'ers can mostly make anything work, but this was a head-scratcher. Cheers.
