Hello all,

Ok. So we can share our photos using Rendezvous.

While sharing, can the user looking at your shared photo's, COPY one or more photos to AND from the share he is looking at?

Also, Can say my wife plug in our camera, to her machine and dump the photo's down to the share she is looking at of my library (the master houshold photo library) ??

Thnaks,
Scott

From what it looks like it's going to be like iTunes Sharing.

They can definitely copy photos from the share. No idea about the other way though.

What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.

Does anyone know if users on the same machine be able to share photos with 1 library?

Another question: does iPhoto have to be running in order for the shares to be shown (like iPhoto does) ? That's a major limitation IMO - I wish they'd use a daemon process to do the sharing, this is unix after all...

Probably like iTunes, so no. But it would be a nice feature. Good thing it's not turned on by default though. It could be a major security hole...

I take it that Windows users on a network wouldn't be able to take advantage of such sharing? That is, the sharing features would be limited to Mac users running iPhoto?
myPhoto: all you have to do is plug in your digital camera, import your photos as you normally would into iPhoto, organize them, add whatever captions you want, and voila! Your photos are on your web page! And what did you have to do to put them there? Simply install myPhoto.

This is going to be huge in the education sector...having the ability for a class to take some pictures and then share those to others is HUGE...

It will be huge in the education sector all right -- sharing your, um, photo collection with others on your college campus...
