Whether you have twenty or twenty thousand digital photos, iPhoto 4 keeps track of them all, automatically organizing them so you can find them fast.

I swear that I got iPhoto 2 when I purchased Panther not 3 months ago!

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

iLife '04
iPhoto 4, iDVD 4, iMovie 4, iTunes 4
oh yeah... and Garageband 1
i think macromedia did the same thing when they skipped DW 5 and went right to 6 for MX.

I don't care, as long as iPhoto 4 truly performs as they say it will....

I just noticed that! LoL - whoops! It's not just a typo, as it's all over their website.
I don't care either, but it's kinda weird.

I think it is odd is all..
There isn't any obvious competitive reason to jump like that. Pushing it up to 4 because this is iLife '04 is also a lame reason.

I agree. Didn't even notice that til you mentioned that iPhoto 3 got skipped. I guess Apple decided to go with something "catchy" and made them all "4" except for GarageBand 1.
Also, nice sig mishap.

I think it means we can expect the Version 5 releases of all the iLife products in January '05
We may get minor updates for free during 2004, I guess iTunes may be the first to get a change, but we will be expected to pay $49 a year from now on to get the next big update.
Just the same as the OSX updates really.
I don't mind really as they are great products, but it could get expensive for people who only really use 1 or 2 of the iLife apps.
I'm not sure I'm going to be a big user of GarageBand for example.

They skipped iPhoto3 because iDVD and iMovie were at 3 already.
It's called "Version Synchronizing".
GarageBand is new. Technically, it is not GarageBand 1, but just GaragaBand.
Hmmm. I wonder if I could sell my copy of iPhoto2 on CD on ebay since it's not downloadable anymore? Anyone intetested?
