What's with 2004 and big software?

Any explanation for the strange connection between 2004 and big companies updating their software? First it was Studio MX 2004, then M$ Office 2004, then iLife '04.

(Dang, now I have to decide whether to update my copies of Studio MX and Office v.X...)

Not complaining or anything, but it just seemed like quite a coinkidink.
