I'm enjoying the new version of VLC, and the audio from my H/K Soundsticks, but no obvious way for VLC 0.7.0 to play audio through the Soundsticks.

I see at least two attempts in the VLC CVS changelogs to fix this problem, but I don't see any resolution.

Am I missing something? Is there some fix that has eluded my searches here and at google?

Please help; the audio through my PowerBook speakers just don't impress now that I've heard the alternative :-)

Select VLC Preferences, choose to show Advanced options, and then Audio.

For Audio Output Module select CoreAudio output.

wait, I don't get it..
are the sound sticks USB or what? There's got to be something non-standard about them...

The Soundsticks I are the original USB version, the just-released Soundsticks II are an analog-only for-your-stereo version.

Both look the same; the II have a volume control on one of the sticks.

Saw them today at MWSF.

My SoundSticks works fine with VLC version 0.7.0 (B&W G3 350 MHz rev.B)
