Hi All,

I just installed panther onto my fiances G4 powerbook 800 and now she is having trouble with her iphoto. It seems to have lost record of the last years photos, though the image files are definitely there in her /user/pictures/iphoto/ folder. The albums are there but it shows 0 pictures for each album after 12/2002. I tried deleting the iphoto.plist preference file and it didn't help. Is there a way to rebuild the library database? I tried moving that to temporarily out of the iphoto folder but it didn't help.
Any suggestions?
Thanks very much
Eric

hold down the shift and command key I believe and iPhoto will rebuild the library.

Hi Danny,

Can you be more specific? I tried holding down the shift and command key while opening iphoto and nothing happened. Is that what you meant to do?
Thanks,
Eric

You have to hold down the option and shift keys while opening iPhoto. If that doesn't work you should repair the permissions with Disk Utility, but I don't think that will be necessary.
