i'm looking for DJ software for OSX, it doesnt have to be freeware. it can be shareware. I would like it to be a nice interface like "Mplay" but alittle less buggy...I used Mplay in OS9 and it was a great shareware app and did everything i needed. The OSX version is basically the same interface, but does have some problems. I am running it on an ibook 300mhz using OSX 10.2.3 Maybe it is the slow processor on the ibook? oh well, anyways, please give me your suggestions

A quick MacUpdate search yielded these results. I've never used any of them so I can't recommend anything. But there's enough there to play with.

I have to vote with MegaSeg. It's awsome! A tad high at just under $200, but worth every penny.

i tried disco for osx and i am still having the asme choppy sound when the crossfade kicks in, i am leaning towards the fact the processor isnt fast enough to handle the load or there isnt enough ram,(128mb) or sound card isnt good enough in the ibook to handle it. i am going to try the same software on a friends imac 400dv and see what happens. i believe that itunes has a crossfade option too doesnt it? (i'm at work right now on a <gasp!> compaq evo....eeewwww)

Well, the BEST Dj app for Mac out there is Traktor DJ Studio 2.

128 MBs of RAM? Good god man, get that machine some RAM! It's suffocating!!!

That was the name of the bloody app!!! I downloaded it awhile ago and deleted it b/c I never used it but couldn't remember the name. It certainly had a lot of buttons to push.

Yeah Traktor DJ is what I use, megaseg is good and fun to play with but if you want to get serious you should give Traktor a try, it's expensive but worth the price.

I used both traktor and DJ1800 and to be honest I think DJ1800 is much better. its more sympathic to me
