Hi,
Just saw a new phone at my local Verizon store, the Motorola v60s. This appears to be an update of the V60 line with a speakerphone feature, but I'm not sure if there are any other differences. (Note: I'm not talking about Verizon's V60p push-to-talk model, this is a different phone).

Apple lists several of the V60 phones as being iSync-compatible, including the CDMA (which I trust means Verizon) versions. Does anyone know if this new one will be too? It seems like they've just added the speakerphone feature so I would guess so, but again, I don't know if they've made other changes that might make it incompatible. Thanks.

I just got this phone a couple of weeks ago and love it. It is indeed iSync-compatible. I had been using a StarTac 7868 and was kind of surprised that all the phone book entries are exploded (e.g., X-Home, X-Work instead of every number just being listed under an entry for X, but whatever).

Also, after perusing http://www.howardforums.com, it turns out that not only is this phone 1X capable, but you can get Verizon Express Network enabled for the minutes off your regular plan! No need for the expensive National Access plan! Just ask for the National Access MOU option (Minutes Only Usage). I was getting 88kbps download speed when I tested it. You know you are in a 1X area when it says 1X at the top of the screen.

Great news! Thanks. Actually, I bit the bullet and picked up the phone while I was at lunch before seeing your message. What did you do about a cable? Order directly from Motorola?

Heavens, no- Moto will screw you on pricing. Get the data/charging cable for $13 from www.eforcity.com . Mine just showed up today, and I got the Express network and iSync all up and working.

I had the same reaction to how the address book showed up. I expected a hierarchy of

John Smith
-----Work
-----Office
-----Mobile

Not
John Smith Work
John Smith Office
John Smith Mobile

But this works. Beats the heck out of spending all afternoon tapping them into a 12 digit keypad!
