Logic Pro 6, Logic Express, Soundtrack, Garageband - how many music apps do we need?

There should be 3 music apps at most, preferably 2. Having 4 is just too much, especially when they overlap.

No they don't. Soundtrack is designed for creating music for video. Logic apps are for professional audio recording, sequencing, editing, mixing, etc. There are two versions of the application because many people don't need all that Logic Pro offers. GarageBand is an iApp and is not designed to create production-quality music.

There is no real overlap here. All apps have their specific target market.

Agreed. If anything, I'd complain about Logic Gold getting the axe, as it had a lot of features that Logic Express doesn't have, but for much less than Logic Pro is going for ($500 vs. $1000). Don't get me wrong, Logic Pro is a huge deal, but only if you have that much to spend.
We need less Democrats and Republicans, and more people that think for themselves.

Just wait till they release garageband pro, or WorldTour Studio Pro or whatever they'll call it, then you'll have one more!
