Is there a way that I can set up a rule to respond to emails with attached files?

Most of the people I know are Windows users and judging by my inbox it would seem most are the click happy, now infected with some sort of worm, virus people too.

I'm getting fed up with my mailbox being filled up with these emails and had set up a filter to delete all the ones from "Microsoft with subject: Use This Patch...[/b] which worked very well. Problem is the latest problem is random subjects from real email addresses.

Is there a way to set up Apple Mail to fliter email with any attachments - say .pif / .exe for example to send a reply and delete the mail?

This should solve the problem.

Wow! Thank's. That does look really good. I clickedd the link on macupdadte & went to his main site ( http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/~benhdj/Mac/junkMatcher.html ) which has lots of detailed instructions.

I forgot to mention I'm running os 10.2.8 & the apps says it needs 10. to run.

never-the-less I'll try installing it tomorrow & if I do need Panther I suppose I'm lucky pay day is only a week away
