Hi -- just started using ichat (well, my daughters did). But I can't get one of my kids signed in. They preferences list her as one e-mail address, which isn't even exactly right; it's missing the spaces. But no matter what I do, I keep getting the sign-in screen and it won't connect her. Any ideas, short of creating a new screen name? (And believe me, that's the next step!)

Thanks.

Since you say she's using an email, I assume you have .Mac.

Assuming that's the case, in the Accounts Preferences, select "Use My .Mac Account" from the AIM Screen Name menu. Then enter the email.

Tab to the Password field. Enter the password, and hit Enter a couple of times (I don't know why, sometimes that's what it takes). Then close the Prefs window, and try to log in.

Hmmm -- I didn't give enough info. Actually my kids all have AOL accounts. It works for one kid and it would work for me, though I don't use ichat or instant messaging. I can't get it to work for this child, however. I don't if the mistake is on the AOL side, or somehow on the ichat side.
