I've looked through the archive and searched the manual (such as it is) to see if Apple Mail has the ability to request a receipt of delivery for sent e-mails? I use Outlook on PC laptop, which has that feature and would like to switch entirely to Mail on Mac desktop. But every once in a while I want to make sure that the e-mail has been delivered to the addressee.

There's a plugin on Macupdate that does just that.
