I was trying to import a song from itunes last night to get a few clips from it, and I noticed something strange. This was a song I had imported from a CD in AAC format, so I figured GB would like that. I dragged the song from the iTunes window the GB window and let go. Nothing happened. But just a few minutes earlier I had done the same thing with a much shorter mp3 file and it had let me do that. So I converted the longer AAC song to MP3 and imported it. No problem. I wonder if Apple asssumes that all AACs are copyrighted songs and won't let you do that, or if there's some technical reason behind the limitation?

And on the topic of limitations, I hope Apple puts out a performance patch pretty soon. The reports from a lot of people on MacInTouch are verging on disgruntled.

2x2 G5, 1.5GB RAM

seems to run pretty solid on my TiBook too.

Considering that Emagic only added mp3 support to Logic Platinum about a year ago, I wouldn't expect aac import before it shows up there - and it hasn't yet.
