This weirdness started happening this morning when I was trying to copy songs from my ipod to an external HD for backing up (from my dual G4). Running cp in the terminal would work for about 5 minutes then hang, so I killed the process. Now iTunes doesn't see my iPod at all.

I hooked it up to my powerbook and iTunes sees it fine.

Throwing out the iTunes prefs and iPod prefs did not work.
