Hoping this isn't a bug.

I have a slide show template I made that isn't affiliated with iPhoto. I need my pics to be no wider than 600 pix and no taller than 450. no matter if its a portrait or a landscape photo.

this means that if you are a portrait your height would be 450 and your width would be something less.

if you are a land scape your width would be 600 and your height would be something less.

i could do this in the old version of iphoto. in the new version when i go to export iphoto tries to be smart and adjusts the height box while i'm adjusting the width.

there is a message below these boxes that says: "Preserve mixed aspect rations". This seems to me like its supposed to have a check box next to it... but it doesn't.

Anyway, is there anyway I can do what I'm trying to do in iPhoto or any other program?
