many programs exist for windows-based machines......

is there ANY way to automatically synch the time in my powerbook with the atomic clock in colorado?

Does it specifically have to be the clock in Boulder? Apple runs its own time server, and you can set OS X to sync to that in the Time & Date panel in System Preferences. I'm not positive, but I think Apple's time server uses the atomic clock owned by the Naval Observatory in Annapolis, MD.

it worked fine

no wonder no one makes an aftermarket program for this purpose

You can also type in any server you want in the NTP field. So, you don't have to use Apple's servers.

And here are some US Navy time servers, which should also be very good:

Just pick the one you want.
