Trying to install iLife04 on my Dual G4....GB seems to have some problems! The installer gives me a error. Not to forget be mentioned here: This happens on a genuine iLife04 DVD I ordered through the Apple Store.

what the installer tells me:

Jan 29 07:32:12 : Running task: /Users/johncoffee/Desktop/iLife04/GarageBandApp.pkg/Contents/Resources/preflight

(I tried several methods to get it installed. Here I copied the package on my desktop first and installed GB only. I thought that there are some read errors on my DVD drive - but the copy process of GB on my desktop went flawless...)

anybody can tell me what is wrong here? Actually the DVD just installs fine on my PB G4. Am I missing something?

thanks
JC

All I can suggest is make sure the DVD doesn't have a booger, or similar stuck on it?

Problem or fact is: It installs fine on my Powerbook.... The disc should be ok - I even tried to install it from a copy on DVD-R I made - same problem occurs during install. (The disk copy way fine and the verify too!)
