I am trying to load a page at work (our timecard program) and it works fine on Win IE 5 & 6, but fails under 10.2.x or 10.3.x when trying to load the Java app on the page. everything else works fine, but the Java app stalls for about a minute and then just displays a red X in the upper corner. I switched the user agent in Safari to WinIE6 and then I get the following error message...
Plug-in not found.
The page "Timecard" has content of MIME type
"application/x-java-applet;version=1.3". You do not have a plugin installed for this MIME type so this content can not be displayed.
This got me thinking, where do you associate MIME types with applications or plugins in Safari? I have the newest version of Java installed (1.4.1) and other java content works fine. I realize that this java app may use non-standard code or something, but never the less, I would like to get it working if at all possible...
Any ideas?
BTW, I do not have access to the source.
