I've been using PithHelmet [which is great btw!] ...

but I've always wondered ....

what happens if it blocks something important? [I wouldn't know about it because I never saw it, since it was blocked] .....

has anyone encountered any sites like this? Or maybe a tip/solution to work around this?

thanks

I've had PithHelmet block almost the entire content of a page before -- all the pictures in a gallery, the navigation bar at the top of the page, etc.

The only real way to "work around" PithHelmet's main functionality is to temporarily turn it off — say, with the Reload Page Unfiltered menu option or the exempt sites list.

You could add the server to the "allow" list so you don't see it again.

PithHelmet is amazing. You just have to spent a few seconds to tweak the rules to your needs.

have you encountered any false positives using the style sheet?

does it block out most content? does it re-render the page nicely?

Is it the same stylesheet that a user from macnn posted?

but the pro blem is that you don't know what content you need to tweak with until they happen.

I've had navigation bars completely not show up, and I would've never known about them unless pithhelmet was turned off.

Go to ... www.comcast.net

^ there's suppose to be a flash navigation bar on the left side, but with pithhelmet turned on, that site still looks correct, but w/out the flash bar.
