Maybe I missed this being posted elsewhere here. I looked for it, and did a search for it with no luck. Maybe I don't know how powerful the Panther's file searching is, and I hope someone will correct me.

What I need to do is search for files and omit the countless .cache files that show up when I do a specified modified date search. I can't seem to get the search/find utility to exclude. It seems to only include.

My questions: Does the built in file search for Panther have exclusion types on its searches? And is there a third party file browser for Panther that blows away what is built in? Thanks.

Well I did a little searching and here is what I was able to find...

This website offers a finder plugin to help you narrow down a list of files based on criteria you give it.
