I just noticed QMaster in my library startup items. I was wondering what it is. I loaded Photoshop SC recently perhaps it has something to do with it. If anyone knows please inform.

Also does anyone know if "library" startup items slow boot time. My 17" PB rev A takes about 3 minutes to boot (from pushing start button to system ready to use) and the only item in any startup folder is the Qmaster.

Thanks

It's part of Final Cut 4. I believe Compressor makes use of it. Yes, startup items can add more time to the boot process, but Qmaster shouldn't be causing you delay. Search around here, there are several different things that could be causing the delay.

thanks-

I just loaded Final Cut 4 a couple of weeks ago. I like to keep track of stuff that is loaded on my system.
It is much easier on a Mac than it is a PC where tons of crap gets put onto your system every time you load an app like Real player.
