This is odd.

Netscape works with my online bank <http://www.peoplesheritage.com> just fine with no effort, but Safari and IE both choke on it, producing a 404 (Page Not Found) error when I put in my username and password.

What's the issue here, I wonder?

Change banks, that what I did. And when they ask why are you closing your account, say you closed it because their online banking system doesn't work with your browser. Make it clear the fault lies on their side and not yours.
Now with G5 Power...

I might do that, but since it's a local bank I would really rather stay with them.

Ludovic,
Well, Camino 0.7 worked fine, as you suspected. I wonder if that means this is a Konqueror issue.

Well, this just happened to my wife on ...I think it was MBNA.

Anyways, I just used Safari Enhancer, turned on the debug menu and changed the Agent from "Automatic" to "Netscape" and the web site worked just fine.

Stupid web designers.

Yeah I confirm that MBNA accepts Netscape only : no Safari, no Camino, no IE 5.2, no Mozilla. Netscape only..... Amazing.
