Question for moki really:
I have often used WireTap to record things like the audio from keynote streams into AIFF which I then compress in iTunes and put on my iPod.
Now that Snapz Pro X 2.0 is out and I'm a registered user (which incidentally I think is the best $20 I've spent this year!), could I replace WireTap with Snapz Pro X 2.0 by recording a small pixel movie at 1 frame, then saving it without a video track?
Or would it still be more efficient to use WireTap?

From what I understand, a lot of wiretap made its way into the new Snapz, so you're probably using the same thing, even tho' it's two different apps. I'd imagine it's be more efficient to use WireTap if you're just looking to record audio...

Snapz Pro X uses WireTap technology to record video with audio coming from the Mac.
If you only want to record audio, I suggest using WireTap, as it will be more efficient and will play nicely along Snapz.
My two euro cents.

I'm hoping that the next version will have audio only integrated into Snapz, eliminating the need for Wiretap.

Yep, you can absolutely do this -- the only downside is that your audio is saved in a .mov file, not an AIFF file.
Just uncheck the Video track when you go to save the movie and you'll be left with a .mov file with just the audio track in it.
