I really hope I'm just an idiot and someone has a simple solution for me here.

I have been looking around the web for some audio loops to use with Safari. I have found many (as a for instance http://www.musicloops.com ) , when I click a link to "download" the loop I want, I get a new webpage with a Quicktime bar paling the audio. Thats great, although I cannot save the file for the life of me. I right click and get nothing. I have Quicktime Pro (not that it should matter in this case). I cannot "File>Save As" and get what I need because safari is trying to save the entire page.

If I use Inetenet Explorer I can visit the download page and a small window (the size of the Quicktime bar) pops up and I am able to save as an .aif file.

Anyone know how I can get Safari, to do the same thing or something similar?

Either, hold down the option key before clicking the "Download" link.

Or hold down the control key before clicking the "Download" link, then select Download from the contextual menu.

Or, if you have QuickTime Pro, click the control with the down arrow on the right of that QuickTime bar, then select Download source material from the QuickTime plug-in menu.

All three methods are well known to practically every other user on the planet!
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Thanks, thats why I had the idiot disclaimer. I have in some instances in the past been able to just right click over the file and save it. The down arrow just totally did not cross my mind.

Thanks for the information!!
