I need to convert a small clip of audio to MP3 for embedding into a Flash movie.
I just tried this in QT player 6.5 and There doesn't appear to be any option for exporting to MP3 - only MPEG 4, AIFF sound, System 7 sound etc...
Am I being incredibly stupid or can you not export directly to MP3 from QT player any more?

why not import into iTunes and convert to MP3. Can you not embed an AAC file into Flash?

Ah - I forgot Flash can re-encode the file as it publishes -- so I don't need to make an MP3 myself any more.
I suppose I could of used iTunes - but it seems very much like the wrong tool for the job.
QT player used to be able to export to MP3 did it not?

Yes, I believe it did but I think since Apple is now using AAC it converts to that.

It did until iTunes became the default MP3 product for Apple. I guess they didn't want to pay royalties on two applications to convert MP3s when one would do.
