Netscape 7.1 and Missing Password Files

Yesterday, I used Netscape and discovered that it behaved as if I were using 7.1, for the first time. All my password info was missing! Is there a way restoring this info, without the obvious task of reentering all this info? I don't understand how it could have been 'lost'. My cookie files are in tact, as some websites do still 'remember' me without having to login.

I did repair persmissions and restart the computer, but to no avail. The Help Section was of no 'help'.
Any suggestions?

I'm not sure, but I'd recommend moving to Safari or Firefox (by the organization that helped create Netscape 6/7.) Netscape is slow, clusmy and discontinued.
