Need an uninstall software that uninstalls completely, doesn't try to uninstall what you want to keep. Thanx!

Since the .pkg format has no dependency checking, I fear that you may be looking for a long time. There are uninstallers for OS X such as DesInstaller, but there's no way to guarantee that it won't remove some important system file and make your system unbootable.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Ok. I've read that Uninstaller is really good, good reviews:
http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/17138
and I wondered if anyone else had that experience with it.

So, let me approach it this way, then:

Even though you can't rely on a guarantee not to remove important files, would you recommend the DesInstaller as giving the least trouble as far as removing important files?

Or, is there a package that can be recommended as better than others at not snatching up important files?

Or...is there a package that might list certain files in a menu to you before it uninstalls them and would let you opt out from downloading certain ones by means of delselecting in a menu?
