Ok, so I thought I had this all set... put everything into AddressBook, connected my Motorola v60 with its USB data cable, and ran iSync. Wonderful.

I went thru several quick and easy updates, no problem.

Now I'm having a world of trouble.

First, there is obviously a "cache" of data somewhere for iSync... anyone know where?

What I want is for my AddressBook data to be the end-all-be-all source. No if-ands-or-buts. Instead I get all of these "conflicts" to "resolve" and frankly the choices it gives me seem to barely resemble what EITHER option should be (my phone or my AB).

I had AB get all funky on me, not drawingon the screen (big emtpy white box, but menus still worked), so I re-installed that with Pacifist from the 10.3 install CDs. Still funky, did again, and wiped ~Library/ApplicationSupport/AddressBook, and the AddressBook plist in Lib/Pref, but still ths thing is finding old data somewhere....

can ya tell I'm frustrated with it?!?!

Thanks for any suggestions,
Mike

There are several things that you can do.

- Make a backup of the good data of Address Book. Go to File>Back up Database. name the file with the date so if the data changes you can choose which one to go back to.

- in iSync go to Devices>Reset all Devices... and then select which is going to be the master as to reset everything.

I have had to do this with my Palm Devices several times and it does work.

Hope this helps
