Ok.I basically installed Panther (update from Jaguar)and every other program works fine. dreamweaver, flash, photoshop, you get the picture. But when I start protools, I get the dimmed screen that tells me to restart my ibook. It worked great before I installed Panther. I went to digidesign.com to look for patches but did not see any that would correct the problem. Other than that the OS is running great. Can anyone lend some advice? I miss recording!!

How to Get the Pro Tools 6.2.2 Software
FREE Update for Registered Owners of Pro Tools 6.0 or Newer
Both Pro Tools TDM and LE 6.2.2 software updates are free to all Mac-based users who own registered Pro Tools 6.0 or newer software. The update is available through three means:

Digidesign Dealers — Pro Tools TDM and LE 6.2.2 software CDs will be available via Digidesign dealers during the first week of December. You'll need an authorization code from Pro Tools 6.0 or above to authorize your software.

Web Downloads — As of November 21, Pro Tools TDM and LE 6.2.2 software upgrades can be downloaded here. These downloads are very large, so a broadband connection is recommended.

If you cannot get to a local Digidesign Dealer for the free CD or cannot successfully download, full installer CDs will be available through the DigiStore for $4.95 US plus shipping and local tax, where applicable.

New Pro Tools Systems
Full installer CDs with Pro Tools 6.2.2 software will be included in shipping Pro Tools Pro Tools|HD systems starting December 1, and with Pro Tools LE systems in early January, 2004. If you're running Mac OS X 10.3.1 on a CPU compatible with Pro Tools 6.2.2 and you purchase a system that lacks the 6.2.2 installer CDs, ask your dealer to order a Pro Tools 6.2.2 update kit for you.

Pro Tools 5.x Upgrades
For Pro Tools 5.x owners, the Pro Tools TDM 6.2.2 software upgrade is $195 US. The Pro Tools LE upgrade including Pro Tools LE 6.2.2 software is $75 US.
