A gentleman I work with has Adobe Suite CS, uses Illustrator and saves JPG files, then uses Powerpoint X (10.1.5) to import those JPGs, which always show up as large red X.
If he clicks below save as in illustrator "save for microsoft office" it saves the file as a .png which seems to be very high quality and good, but the jpeg issue is still a big one.

Anyone got any ideas? He's got a dual G5 2ghz, 512mb RAM, Radeon 9600 Pro, 10.3.2. I checked Adobe's web site for a CS update, but none existed.

Is he exporting those JPEGs in the CMYK or the RGB color space?

I've seen programs choke on CMYK JPEG files before.
