When i load this page
http://www.xe.com/ucc/
Im no longer able to select any of the currencies in either of the currency lists. I was able to select any currency in both lists 2 days ago in Safari 1.2
It seems 'EUR Euro' & USD 'United States Dollars' are permanently highlighted.
Anyone know why? I removed the Safari preference file no change.

Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Works for me too.
Anyway - why don't you use the built in Mac OS X calculator? It has a currency converter in the 'Convert' menu, that updates currency rates straight off the net. Very convenient.

Great suggestion, didn't even realize the humble calc offered this ability...and the others in the menu ;-)
However while to converts the currency amount it doesn't display the rate it was using to convert....i need to know this so i still use the web page.
Im not sure why the page has stopped working for me.. ..very strange....ill look into it further.

Turn on the "Paper Tape" window from the View menu. You'll get the rate it uses in there.
