I can't hook up my dad's EPSON STYLUS COLOR 740i printer because it dosnt have driver. I did go to www.epson.com and looked for a driver specifically. And, there's no 740i driver available for OSX.

I remember someone said that I can hook up by installing Epson printer driver from one of 3 cds of 10.3 ????

Help! Thanks.. oh and one more thing.. happy valentine's day to you all!

Since Epson doesn't have a driver on their site, it is highly unlikely that there will be one in the Epson package on the install CDs since Apple just bundles what the manufactures provide. However, you can try installing the Gimp-Print drivers from the install CDs. They usually have drivers for printers that are no longer supported.

You can get a new, better canon printer for the same cost of refilling that Epson with ink ONCE.

Never mind what I said. The driver is on the OS X CDs. I just checked Epson's OS X support page and it lists it as included with OS X. Why they don't also provide it on their website is beyond me. Just another reason why I dislike Epson.

If you experience any problems with the Gimp driver, you may want to try the official Epson driver. However, I have a hunch that the Gimp driver is better.

740i is the 740 with a different color. The 740 driver will work with it. And, unless he specifically didn't install it, the 740 driver comes with the default install of OS X.

I use the 740 with OS X with no problems at all.
Just install the Drivers from OS X's install CD's/DVD, from the Additional Printers Package.
