I'm looking for a mac app that lets you design the floorplan for a house, and then do a 3D walkthrough of the design you've made. I've seen several of these apps for windows, but I've yet to find one for OS X. Anyone know a good one? Preferably free, but I'll take whatever.

I thought I was the only one...there are none comparable to the Windows apps. It's one of the main reasons I built a PC a few years ago.

Try Sketchup. As for Macintosh 3D home design apps, you might have better luck researching www.architosh.com.

Looks great...I was actually looking for a package that included landscape design, but this is very nice. Too bad it wasn't around a couple of years ago.

Of course, the Windows packages are less than half the price.

If you're a student, you can usually get ArchiCAD for $75 or so. Very powerful tool, possibly too powerful for your needs.
