I am demo'ing the program. Does it only have the ability to be in the dock? Can't I put it in the menubar as a startup item?

You'll want "WeatherMenu 3.5.1" for that task...

Why not get both X and Menu? I enjoy being able to take a screenshot of X and send it on to people I'm writing to in other parts of the country. Menu, on the other hand, is great just for your own personal information and has the ability to show weather from different parts of the country at a glance.
