I just got a powerbook G4 and I tried authorized my computer to download my purchased music from iTunes (I already purchased music from my desktop). My itunes account is the same as my .mac account, and it says that I have already downloaded all my purchased music onto the powerbook, which I haven't. I tried to de-authorize my powerbook but I got a message saying it was not authorized to begin with (even though when I log onto the itunes music store from my powerbook, my account shows up). I'm confused!

You have to manually copy the songs from your desktop to your Powerbook. The "Check for Purchased Music" only re-downloads music if the download was interupted. Once the songs are on your Powerbook just try to play one and it will ask you to authorize it.
