I Just bought a new iBook G4 for my sister and was getting it set up for her but it doesn't have garage bacnd and its not on the CD's. It should be right?

iDVD require DVD-R / DVD-RW, not standard DVD reader drive.

But you should still be able to install it as the new version allows you to install iDVD on a Mac w/out a drive and then transfer the project to a mac with one.

That being said, you can only install GB and iDVD from the install DVD. Those two applications aren't on the CD. Double check to see if you don't have one (install DVD, that is). If not, call Apple as you should have had two iLife '04 discs, one CD, one DVD.
