Hi
I received a (quiet long) promotional DVD from my company that I would like to copy. It is nothing commercial ... How can I copy it to make a new DVD with it ? Any special program I should use ?
Thanks

If it is less than 4.4 GB and not CSS-encrypted, you can just copy it using Toast.
If it is larger than 4.4GB, you need to first rip it to your hard disk using DVDBackup, and then reduce it to 4.4GB with DVD2oneX
both of these software titles can be found on www.macupdate.com

you can also reduce the DVD in size by using IFOEdit for Windows. IFOEdit will strip out foreign languages and a bunch of other stuff, and recreate the IFO files.
I wish there was something like this for the Mac.

Of course, the DVD copying software has just been ruled illegal...
So -- that Windows software may be disappearing soon!

I should have hastened to mention that it wouldn't be illegal to duplicate the DVD the original poaster mentioned. In fact, I'm awaiting a similar DVD and am wondering if I will be able to copy it (with the author's blessing) without using the recompression software.
