Last time I heard of the porting project, I heard, that there will be a (native?) OSX port of OOo for the 2.0 release, because the developers weren't allowed to integrate their patched in the 1.x tree.
As I've seen, there are OOo 2.0 snapshots available. Is anybody here who can comment on the current state of the port?
I know NeoJ is quite nice, but I would love to see a native Aqua OOo 2.0 with nice aqua icons.
Is there still some hope left for this? Perhaps before "Q1 2006"

Not sure what the latest word from the grapevine is, but by Q1 2006, OOo could be irrelevant. Or not.

Another option is KOffice. There's work being done on an Aqua version right now, and it's coming along nicely. Plus, starting this year, KOffice is supposed to start using the OpenOffice file translators, making it as compatible with M$ Office as you can get.
