I did a search and didn't see anything but if this is already been addressed sorry.

Why can't GarageBand play though my soundsticks? I think that this is a major flaw in the program. Seriously come on.

Have you searched the GarageBand help, as well?

It's gotta have some sort of setting for outputs...?

are you sure you've got the right output settings in Audio Midi setup?

When I go to the audio prefs in GarageBand it shows the soundsticks but they are greyed and next to it, it says not 44.1

Go into /Applications/Utilities and open up your Audio-MIDI Setup program.

Make sure you've got your Soundsticks selected for standard output.
