i have an xp pc and pb running panther on a network at home. i'd like to be able to sync files between them, as i often need to back files up from one to the other (since my xp machine has been less than stable lately). i have found several apps that do this among macs, but no certaintly with pc and mac. does foldersynchronizer or other utility do this safely? thanks.

Can't you just set up a sync script with an freeware app like Synk to run on the mounted XP volume?

I regularly use that app to sync my work mac, memory stick & home mac.

I have a home XP box too, and it gives me the $%&*£**$ giggles that I can't find good freeware/shareware apps amongst the "thousands more apps available for Windows than Mac" for simple stuff like this, or my other recent search-around for something like ImageBuddy for the PC. Bah!! to Windows.

it's so true...so many apps, so few for free. well, i haven't had time to run a good search on an app for the xp box. i've gotten by this long, guess it won't hurt me to do so a little longer. thanks for the link, that little app looks like a winner for the mac side of things.
