I will be purchasing and installing a new hd this weekend and I was wondering what parts of itunes aside from the music need to be backed up so that when I open itunes everything is the way it was before.
Thanx for any help

The contents of <your music folder>/iTunes. Also ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunes.plist

If you have any plugins, be sure to keep those. They're in ~/Library/iTunes or /Library/iTunes

Actually, you can save yourself the hassle of reinstalling things by using Carbon Copy Cloner to duplicate your current drive onto the new one.
