hey, just installed iLife04 today and checked out GarageBand. Wow. It's fun Anyways, my question is, is there a way to set faders for certain parts of tracks as opposed to having to set the fader to a single orientation for the whole song?
If this isn't clear, what i'm trying to do is set a drum kit to be set to the left channel for part of the track, and in the right for another part, but I can't figure out how to do this in GarageBand.
Thanks for the help

Don't think you can do this on a single track, but you could split the track at the relevant point and move it onto a separate track which is faded to the other side. So, you'd have two tracks one left and one right.

I know you can automate volume for each track but I don't think pan. Sorry I'm not in front of it right now.
Click the little Triangle next to the Mute and Solo buttons to see the automation envelope. You can add nodes to make volume changes over time.
But yeah simply making two tracks and panning each hard left or right and only putting the audio you need in one or the other should do it too.
