WTH?

How about WebObjects? It really looks like that product is 80% product and 20% services (percentages could differ ) You can do the same with WebObjects if you want.

There are plenty of web applications / frameworks out there that can give you simular functionality, everything from ASP, PHP, ColdFusion, JSP etc...

What exactly are you looking for? I built something a while back in CFML that basically had a framework that multiple sites could use. There were modules like Permission Marketing, Press REleases, News, Communications, Incentives etc..

The basics is that the software be designed for a touchscreen interface. Popular touch screens have the capability of going 1024x768 on a 7" screen. The software itself would need at least three basic capabilities, in my opinion. One and most importantly a custom iTunes interface which would make the controls simple, and browsing artist/songs/genre quick and easy. Next would be DVD playback though Apple DVD player, not much custom interface needed, just simple on screen controls. And lastly GPS. I don't know if a custom interface for this software would be required. So basically kind of an all in one interface being able to navigate throught those basic applications, or being able to customize the main menu if you want to add your own custom apps. Preferably this run as a full screen interface.

hey, sorry i put the wrong address in my first post (which I've corrected). This is the website I meant to put http://www.mediaengine.org

Man, I can not find it, but there was an article on MacSlash and SlashDot that talked about a guy that fully integrated his Mac in to his car, it was a great article... And it showed the software that he used (built) I think you could get the sourcecode too! Thats exactly what you want. He used Route66 for the GPS... Does anyone have a link to that site?

Wow, this kinda stuff kinda makes you wonder how many cars out there are customized and running this kinda sweet stuff in their trunks... or why that piece of crap 1983 Honda keeps driving down your street, most likely nabbing your wireless access. Hah.

Cool documentary, that guy does things with his hardware that I'd love to just know how to do.
