Hi,
I am trying to burn some video stuff onto a CD and Toast is giving me an error it says:

"The drive reported and error: Sense key = Medium Error. Sense Code = 0x73, 0x03"

I have tried slowing the burnign speed and using multiple versions of Toast...nothing works any ideas?

Thanks.

That's a physical error happening. If your CD burner is okay it's the CDs you're currently using.
Try another brand of CDs first before investigating further.

I have tried burning in iTunes and on Toast and both give me errors! But the Drive will read CDs and DVDs....could it just not be burning CDs and could it be damaged? Should I run the hardware test on it?

You're welcome.

Sometimes certain drives don't work well with certain CDs if you try to burn them, that's independent from the burning software you use or the format or data that's written, and reading CDs is a different thing too. Look if there is a firmware update for your drive that can be installed on a Mac, but other than that the only thing you can do is to just use other disks.
