The music player that was bought for our restaurant is actually a small DVD player that supports CDs. Up until now, we've only been using CDs in it, but I noticed today that it has the DVD and MP3 logos on the front of the tray.

Is there a way that I can make music DVDs on my Mac? Better yet, extra long-playing MP3 DVDs? I am not sure whether the "Data DVD" option in iTunes would work on the machine.

The Apple Help files are characteristically sparse and vague on this subject and I would appreciate any insight.

Good question...

I've seen some info regarding it, but there really aren't any rock solid standards that I've seen.

I would say the data DVD would probably be the only way (currently) for iTunes to create it.

I know there is an application that will create DVDs with the iTunes visuals on it, but you can only get 2 hours of songs on it...

Your DVD player will see the mp3's on the DVD that you burned but because its a DVD, the player gets confused. Right now, Desktop DVD player's only support mp3's that are burned on CD's not DVD's. Mind you, there may be exceptions to the newly released players.
