adium, proteus, fire... I have the ms messenger that comes with Office v.X, that is a 2.1.0 version, can not start the sesion, so I guess I need to update it. Right?

But maybe there are best options out there.

Adium, Fire, Proteus are all great clients. They're especially great when you're using multiple accounts on different services.

You need to get a new version of MSN Messenger if you want to use the official Microsoft MSN client.
