Has anyone had any problems with downloading iTunes for Windows? I have personally only been able to download it maybe 2 in 100 tries over a period of weeks. What gives?

I'm not real clear on the problem...You cannot download the application "iTunes for Windows", or you cannot download music from the iTunes store using Windows?
If the former, why have you tried 100 times in the last few weeks, when you have already accomplished it at least once?

The application, and for various reasons. Install at work, install at home, install at moms house, install at sis-in-laws house . . .
Is that enough explanation? Besides - it hardly matters why I need to download it again. The question is why would Apple have such an unreliable download for a high visibility product.

I just downloaded itunes 4.2 for windows at work today onto my colleague's computer (win xp pro), and it worked no problem, first time. (now if only her windows computer worked that smoothly)
If you managed to download it ok once, maybe you could put it on a CD or a USB keydrive, then you don't have to worry about troublesome downloads any more. At about 20MB, that's what I'd do if I had to install it on more than one machine.

Based on Apple's track record for downloads, I'd say it's something on your end that is causing the problems. I've never had a problem downloading anything from the Apple web site. And their servers are very fast. Of course, I've never had to download the Windows version of iTunes, so I can't speak specifically to that.
What sort of errors are you getting? File does not exist? Dead link?

I get a connection timeout. I get the same results on my corporate network as I do at home (but only with the Windows iTunes - everything else works perfectly).
I was able to get it today (from home) so maybe I should just burn a copy . . .

Downloaded on the first try on my work PC. Unfortunately, we're behind a firewall, so I can't use the iTunes Music Store or authorize this computer to play any of my purchased songs.
